I’ve fallen in love
with soy wax melts!
We are very excited to introduce our brand new product, soy wax melts, to you. Made in our workshop using an eco soy wax and our organic essential oil blends, we have created pretty flower shaped melts for you to enjoy at home.
Currently available are our The Seasons Collection scents, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter but our signature blends will follow later this month.
Wax melts are so easy to enjoy, simply pop one of our melts into your wax melt burner and light the tealight underneath to gently melt the soy wax which releases the fragrance. Even when the wax is cold, you will still beable to smell the fragrance. I have melt burners everywhere with cold wax. I have definitely fallen in love with them.
In our shop, you can buy wax melts in glassine bags of 12 melts, each melt lasts for 8 hours approximately. We are also stocking our own soft grey ceramic wax melt burners and have handpoured soy tealights in boxes of 12. The boxes are made from seeded paper so you can plant them later and enjoy the flowers. In each box, there is one tealight cup, once empty, simply pop a new tealight into the cup and off you go again.
We are trying to reduce our waste at every opportunity. There is no waste from our wax melts themselves. We have created a box of 12 soy tealights, 1 polycarbonate cup and 11 refils. Polycarbonate cups need less energy to be made, are flame resistant and are strong enough to be used over and over again.
You can now buy our Handpoured Aromatherapy Soy candles in their much bigger size from our website.
Why bigger? From listening to you and also our drive to reduce waste. A bigger candle lasts longer and therefore less waste and these tins are stronger so dint less which means less Wonky Candles! They cost £18 each and are available in all six signature scents plus our “help me say hello to Spring” soy candle has arrived in the shop.
Lets celebrate Galentines Day on 13th february and Valentines Day 14th February 2023
Valentines Day or Galentines Day are times to celebrate love, romance, appreciation, and affection for one another. It has become a very commercial time but there’s no need to take part in buying overpriced, poorly grown flowers that are sprayed with pesticides, Extortionately priced chocolates and gifts which will end in landfill.
This year, write your special person a poem, it doesnt have to be long or perfect. Make it personal and your recipient will love your effort, even if you blush, the thought of you spending time thinking about them will be much better than a bunch of chemically grown red roses.
Here at Helpmeorganics, we love a little romance. I have been with my partner for over 30 years, still love him just as much as ever, more so to be honest. I honestly believe that love happens everyday not just on 14th February so get writing your poem. If you would like to send someone a small gift, we can add your poem to the gift box for you, you will need to email it to us and we will add it to the box.

This month
February is the month we begin to see frogs returning to the pond so keep an eye on your pond. When you see frogspawn, report your sightings here
Frogs are vital as they are the first indicator of how well our wildlife has faired during winter as are Bumble Bees. I love the sounds and sighting of the first big bumble bee, please ensure they have a food source as they will need food. Dandelions, crocus and early flowering trees are essential. Have you seen a bumblebee already, report it here
This year, pledge to let your garden grow a little untidy in many places, dig a pond if you don’t have now, plant hedges with nature plants, plant a tree with multi seasonal benefits for insects, install bird boxes and baths, say no to pesticides and learn to love the natural world, we need them to flourish.
And finally, take part in the Big Star Count this month, this is a wonderful activity to do with your children. Our night sky is becoming lighter which could be a problem for nocturnal creatures ie bats, hedgehogs and badgers so it is very important to fit light shields to outdoor lighting which send any light just downwards and not upwards towards the sky. Use outdoor lighting as little as possible and turn off the lights in empty rooms, tell your council to install light hoods to street lights and ask businesses to dull their security lights.
The night sky is wondrous, we all love the stars and planets so from 17th until 24th February, count the stars in a grid and report your findings to them.
Have a wonderful happy month and dont forget you can love yourself, your friends and family and our natural world. Linda x
